Somewhere Down the Centerline: Characters

For when you need a reminder of who's who..

Girl :: 18 year old who probably won't listen to the advice you have. Prone to bad decisions regarding undergarments and attracted to obnoxious horses and men. (The horses always last longer though...)

Clark :: Girl's tempermental camper that forever has something breaking.

Kent:: Girl's gas guzzling Chevy Silverado.

Horse :: 5 year old Dutch/Thoroughbred cross. Prone to chasing small animals and hurting herself.

Boss Mare :: Tiny but dangerous trainer. Boss Mare runs the show, attracts large horses and Jack Russells, and reminds a certain teenager to use her brain. She has a voice that can be heard from miles away, and despite this, someone purchased her a microphone to give lessons through... Girl's yet to understand the logic.

Bubba :: Hanoverian gelding, kind of gangly, at 17+ hands too. He and Girl have a morning scratch and cuddle fest.

Glitter :: Five year old TB/Percheron/Hanoverian mare Girl worked with for several months.

Dolly :: Barn dog.

Squeak:: Barn dog/ bed dog.

Barbie :: Mildly psychotic (arguably more than mildly) Thoroughbred mare owned and ridden by Girl from age 15-17. Currently a broodmare for a racetrack stable after several less than stellar occasions.....

Baby Mama :: Big bay Dutch Warmblood mare currently being bred to Sir Sinclair.

Cow :: The first horse. Rotund chestnut Thoroughbred mare who formerly foxhunted and did hunters, now spends time not going forward and looking cranky. Such a difficult life.

Chunky :: Large appendix quarter horse. Emphasis on quarter horse. One of the few sane ones.

Hamlet :: The first pony.. A somewhat scrappy little Missouri foxtrotter that Girl's mother bought when Girl was eight.

Littles :: Girl's students, who seem to always be saying the craziest things. (While riding beautifully, of course.

Miss Manners :: Off the track chestnut Thoroughbred mare, version 2.0.

Pony:: A dappled gray brat that Girl spent her life savings on when she was 14, only to have the check bounce for .20. He's bad, but she loves him.
